Reading daily is one of the most important things you can do with your child. If you run out of books to read, you can access a large range of free books online at Oxford Owls.
Alongside this, we recommend that the children continue to practice their spellings and times tables.

Homework
Homework is essential for year 6 and is set each week. It allows the children the opportunity to consolidate what they have been learning at home and also encourages independence.
Each week the children will have:
- Maths homework
- Spellings homework
- Accuracy homework
- Reading journal entry
When necessary, children will be set science or topic homework in addition.
