Pastoral Support Leader

We are seeking a Pastoral Support Leader to work alongside teaching staff, addressing the needs of children who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside the school, in order to achieve their full potential. This will include leading our Nurture Provision.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Support Leader to join the dynamic Coopers Lane team. We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and hard-working professional who will identify with, promote and maintain the school’s values and positive approach to teaching and learning. 

You will be joining an enthusiastic team of individuals who are committed to working together in order to improve the lives and life-chances of our children.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a strong desire to make a difference
  • Have the vision and motivation to inspire children, to raise standards and promote excellence 
  • Have relevant experience in supporting children with their social and emotional needs
  • Have the ability to form positive relationships with all members of our school community 
  • Be able to support colleagues, and work with families to ensure positive experiences for some of our most vulnerable pupils 
  • Help to identify barriers to learning/social interaction that children may experience and work to devise solutions to overcome these barriers
  • Be adaptable and work creatively to problem-solve
  • Qualified to an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualifications or experience

Salary details 

SO1-Point 23-25

£37,575 – £38,769   (pro rata) 

35 Hours a week (39 weeks, term time only)

Actual annual salary – £32,461
